Jungle is the name given to the second main expansion of the Pokemon TCG. In Japan, it was released as Pokémon Jungle, the second expansion in the Pokémon Card Game. It is based on Pokemon, Red, Blue, and Green, featuring Gen 1 Pokémon. The English expansion was released on June 16, 1999, while the Japanese expansion was released on March 5, 1997. Subsequently all other language releases for Jungle were February of 2000.

The Japanese release contained 48 cards; however, the English release was expanded to 64 cards since Wizards of the Coast decided to include Non Holofoil prints of the Rare Holo cards. This is to make the expansion larger, as well as preventing packs from guaranteeing a Holofoil card.
